Don’t forget! Effective recently are two important updates for AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans insured by UnitedHealthcare® Insurance Company in Kentucky: for plan effective dates of January 1, 2024, and later, new applications are now available, reflecting the new Kentucky birthday enrollment period and plan availability for enrollees under age 65.
There is an annual birthday enrollment period for individuals that are replacing their current Medicare supplement plan with the same plan through a different insurer when enrolling within 60 days of the individual’s birthday. The enrollment application must be received during the 30 days prior to and no later than 60 days past the birth date. This information is reflected on the application in the new Kentucky Enrollment Kit and within the Producer Handbook, available on the Sales Materials Portal through Jarvis.
Be sure to use the most current application. As a reminder, LEAN™ always reflects the current application to make enrollments as easy as possible for you.
AARP Medicare Supplement Plans are available to eligible consumers ages 50 to 64 who reside in Kentucky and are eligible for Medicare by reason of disability or end-stage renal disease.
Plan rates for these individuals are available in the Enrollment Kit (see Group 3), or can be found on Jarvis under Knowledge Center > Portfolio Overview > Medicare Supplement Plans > Rates and Underwriting > Choose Kentucky. Please use the new Kentucky Enrollment Kit, found on the Sales Materials Portal.
No commissions will be paid for these enrollments.
