Clarification on D-SNP apps

Thank you for your continued patience as UnitedHealthcare works to restore access to the Medicaid Eligibility Lookup Tool on Jarvis. In the meantime, Here is some clarification about Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) applications:

  • D-SNP applications continue to be processed and submitted to CMS within the required seven-day timeline.  
  • The enrollment team is able to verify Medicaid eligibility across all states, despite the outage to the Jarvis Medicaid Eligibility Look up Tool.  
    • NOTE: Medicaid verification is not required to submit D-SNP applications to UnitedHealthcare. However, a Medicaid ID is required for our enrollment teams to verify a consumer’s current Medicaid eligibility. If they are able to verify eligibility, the application will then be sent to CMS for final approval.  
  • The Producer Help Desk (PHD) is available to help confirm eligibility to assist in understanding what plans a prospect is eligible for all states except DE and OR. UHC continues to work to expand support for these two states.
    • You can reach PHD at 888-381-8581 or via chat within Jarvis.

UnitedHealthcare encourages you to confirm eligibility prior to enrollment to prevent applications from being denied, but proof of Medicaid eligibility is not a requirement to submit a D-SNP application to UnitedHealthcare. If you are unable to validate Medicaid eligibility, you can still submit the application and our enrollment teams will verify prior to submitting to CMS, as long as you have the Medicaid ID.

Coming soon! Get certified to sell 2025 UnitedHealthcare Medicare plans

Mark your calendars! UnitedHealthcare 2025 Certifications will launch in early June. This year they are taking the experience to the next level with study guide enhancements, a new and simplified look, improved search function and knowledge checks – all designed to support you during certifications and prepare you to sell sooner.

And if you haven’t visited Jarvis in a while, log in now to ensure your One Healthcare ID (OHID) is still active. Checking now will save time when you log in to take your certifications.
