Recently your Wellcare of North Carolina customer may have received an erroneous letter from Wellcare. The referenced letter stated their provider affiliated with Mission Health Partners would be ending their agreement with Wellcare effective 4/30/2022. This notification is inaccurate, and the letters were sent to members in error.
Wellcare recently signed a new agreement with HCA/Mission Hospital and its affiliated provider groups. While replacing the previous agreement it caused a system error and letters were inadvertently sent to members stating the agreement would be expiring. Wellcare is working quickly to resolve the system error and have identified the members affected. Members impacted will be mailed a retraction letter confirming the letters were sent in error.
Wellcare customers can confirm provider participation with Wellcare via our online provider directory, or by calling the Member Services team at 1-833-444-9088 (TTY 711). They have also been in contact with HCA/Mission to alert them of the erroneous notification and are working closely with providers to confirm network participation. Should you have additional questions or concerns, please contact your sales team directly.
