Geisinger Gold PPO and HMO Plans receive 4.5-Star ratings for 2023

Geisinger is pleased to announce that both their PPO and HMO plans were awarded a 4.5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The PPO plan was awarded a 4.5 for medical plans and a 5.0 for its drug plan. The updated CMS ratings sheets will be available in the brokerHUB.

Ready for enrollment?

Oct. 15 marked the first day that consumers could enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan. With the expansion of Geisinger's D-SNP product into 60 of 67 counties, your clients may have questions. If you need more information or materials, contact your Medicare broker representative listed below. 

Accessing your AEP materials

The 2023 Medicare materials are available on the Gold Broker Portal for Medicare. If you need materials, contact the broker care team to order your 2023 AEP marketing collateral at 866-488-6653. You can also order through your broker relations manager.

Phone sales appointments

If you do sales appointments over the phone, make sure you’re checking with your FMO on any training opportunities to go through the recording solution available and any needed disclaimers per CMS 2023 guidelines.

Flex card reminder

Tell your clients to hold onto their flex cards if they’re planning on staying enrolled in the Preferred Enhanced PPO. The cards will be reloaded for 2023.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) now requires that all material given to a Medicare beneficiary from an authorized agent must include the following disclaimer:  We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options. Be sure to add the disclaimer to all sales material and        any signage that you have displayed. This includes personalized marketing materials as well as enrollment kits, plan comparison guides, seminar PowerPoints, and any flyer that includes Geisinger plan and/or benefit information. Disclaimer stickers have been printed — contact your broker care team member to order them.
