HouseCalls Member Incentive Has Increased

HouseCalls Member Incentive Increase

Exciting news for your members: the UnitedHealthcare® HouseCalls member incentive has increased for Medicare Advantage members. Starting Sept. 21, 2021, members who have not yet had their annual HouseCalls visit will receive $50 instead of the standard $15 if they participate on or before Dec. 31, 2021. This will be in effect in: Kings, Queens, Richmond, Bronx, New York, Nassau, and Suffolk County.

Members will not receive notice, so please notify your eligible members who have not yet had a HouseCalls visit in 2021 of this opportunity. Members can schedule their HouseCalls visit by calling 1-866-799-5895, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. ET.

About HouseCalls

UnitedHealthcare HouseCalls offers a yearly in-home or virtual check-in visit with a member of our licensed medical staff. It is included in many Medicare Advantage and Dual Special Needs Plans (DSNP) at no cost to the member. Information is shared with a member’s Primary Care Provider (PCP) so the PCP can help coordinate the member’s care.

Member Benefits

For UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan members who participated in a HouseCalls visit:

  • Members had up to 14 percent fewer hospital admissions during the 12 months following a home visit.
  • Members report a 99% satisfaction rate, with a 91% repeat visit acceptance rate.
  • HouseCalls helps to identify care opportunities that might not show up during a regular office visit.

Agent Benefits

As an agent, you could see benefits, such as increased member retention, referrals and an overall better outcome for your members. In addition, HouseCalls impacts a health plan’s Star Rating, which allows UnitedHealthcare to enhance member benefits.
