Cigna Healthy Today card reminder

Make sure your Medicare Advantage (MA) customers are utilizing all of the benefits on their Cigna Healthy Today card before they expire at the end of the year. In addition to any benefits included with their MA plan, members may have also received incentives for healthy behaviors such as getting an annual physical or preventive screening. As a reminder, the MA Incentives Program has been enhanced for 2025, so all members can earn up to $200 for certain healthy behaviors.

Request for Information (RFI) deadline

Log in to Salesforce to verify if any of your customer enrollment applications have been placed in Request for Information (RFI) status and need additional information before they can be processed. For all AEP applications submitted prior to 11/16, you have until 12/7/2024 to submit the information requested and resolve the RFI. For applications submitted on 11/16 or later, you have the standard 21 days to submit the information requested and resolve the RFI. Note: In some cases, D-SNP applications may require additional Medicaid verification. Click below to learn more about the convenient options Cigna offers to verify Medicaid status.

Check the status of your faxed PDP applications

When faxing a PDP enrollment application, please call the automated system at 1.800.222.6700 within 24-48 hours, and follow the prompts to check if the application has been received. If the automated system confirms that the application has not been received, please call CARL at 866.442.7516 to talk to a live agent and confirm the status of the application. If CARL does not have record of the application either, email a copy of the application to CARL@cignahealthcare.com for processing.

Tip: To avoid delays in processing, please do not use electronic faxes to submit your applications. Instead, Cigna recommends you use the online enrollment platforms (i.e., ConnectureDRX, SunFire, etc.) to submit your applications electronically.

You can also log in to CignaForBrokers to access ConnectureDRX where you can key in your PDP paper applications. This way, you don't need to worry about faxing them in. Just type, "Paper Application," in the 'Beneficiary Signature' line.

Spanish sales presentation now available

A Spanish version of Cigna's sales presentation is now available in Producers' University. Use this PowerPoint presentation to facilitate your meetings with customers and share everything they need to know about Medicare and Cigna Healthcare MA plans.

Tip: You can find the English and Spanish versions of the sales presentation in the Resource Center of Producers' University under 'Sales and Educational Presentations.' To see the Spanish version, make sure to click the (ES) toggle at the top right of the page before opening the presentation.

Customer communications

Familiarize yourself with the communications that your MA customers receive from Cigna Healthcare. This will help you in your conversations during AEP and support your customer retention efforts. See what's upcoming below:

Email

  • Caregiver Month Communication – Sent to customers that have the Homethrive Caregiver benefit (and will continue to have it in 2025) to promote National Caregiver Month in November.
  • Cigna Healthy Today card Reminder – Sent to customers that have $25 dollars or more in allowance benefits remaining on their Cigna Healthy Today card. Promotes using the funds before they expire at the end of the year and also promotes the CignaHealthyToday.com website for more information about the program.
  • In-home Care Vendors – Six co-branded vendor emails sent to customers who still need to close gaps in care services.

Letter

  • Welcome Kit and Customer Handbook – Sent to new MA customers. Includes an OTC Benefit Guide (if applicable to the plan), Extra Benefits Guide, and Dental Guides.
