Connecticut Agents: what an AEP this has been. A lot of you have said it’s a weird one from years past, and a lot of you are thriving. Regardless of if you’ve had an amazing 8 weeks, a tough 8 weeks, or you struggled through, you are almost there. Here are a few updates for you this morning:
CT currently has an active FEMA for flooding after Hurricane Ida. The date of the storm was 9/2/2021, the currently is not an end date for the FEMA election. Anthem can accept MAPD applications with this open FEMA.
A lot of questions have come to Anthem about whether or not CT is going to continue as a guaranteed issue (GI) state. Currently, there is no talk about CT changing status for GI state. Anthem is still GI and will continue to be GI. They are rate holding for Plan N & Plan G for the entire 2022! There will be no increase to those two plans and current members received a letter letting them know. Just a few reminders:
Reminder Anthem can accept nonDSNP HRA forms after January 1st! You will receive $50 reimbursement on any new AEP business written during AEP when you submit the HRA during OEP. DSNP HRAs can be submitted at the time of sale or within 7 calendar days by emailing to EMOsalesinitiatedhra@anthem.com for $100 reimbursement.
Let’s crush these last hours of AEP, get some sleep and enjoy the holiday season!
