Cigna VBE and HRA program reminders

October 24, 2024
Cigna

Don't miss this opportunity to earn some extra money while also helping your customers transition to their new Cigna Healthcare MA plan. In fact, by helping Cigna collect HRAs, PCPs, and email addresses, you're also helping to improve customer retention and reduce Complaints to Medicare (CTMs).

Bottom line, Cigna's VBE program is a great way to put some extra money in your pocket and provide Cigna Healthcare with important information that helps us connect your customers to the best health care for them. See below for more information.

Value Based Enrollment (VBE) Program

VBE program for email & PCP

  • Earn up to $50 per eligible digital application.
  • $30 for providing a valid in-network PCP for your customer on the digital application.
  • $20 for providing a valid customer email address on the digital application.
  • How to access: Submit a digital application using one of the online enrollment platforms

VBE program for Health Risk Assessments (HRAs)

  • Earn $125 when you enroll your Cigna Healthcare MA customers in an eligible Medicare D-SNP or C-SNP plan and facilitate an HRA.
  • Earn $75 for each HRA that you facilitate with your other Cigna Healthcare MA customers.
  • HRA submission deadline: You have until December 22, 2024, to submit the HRA for any customer applications taken from October 1 – December 7, 2024.
  • How to access:
    • SunFire or ConnectureDRX: The HRA is embedded in each program for agents that are fully integrated into the respective vendor platform.
    • CignaForBrokers: For non-SunFire users and/or non-ConnectureDRX agency partners – use single sign-on to access the SunFire HRA via the "Health Risk Assessment" link in the Tools section.
    • eEnrollment: The HRA is embedded at the end of the customer enrollment process. Access by clicking the "Cigna HRA Survey Tool" button on the enrollment Submission Confirmation screen.

Have you submitted your end-user license agreement for the updated HRA?

Because Cigna Healthcare uses a vendor to supply health questions related to social determinants of health (SDOH) in their HRA, they were required to sign a license agreement which gives them permission to use the vendor's SDOH questions. The license agreement also requires third parties who record customer answers in Cigna's HRA tool to sign an online end-user license agreement (EULA) directly with the vendor.

Therefore, as a participating agent/broker who may complete HRAs using their forms or tools, you will need to execute the online EULA as required by the license agreement if you haven't already done so.

The form is available here, and can be signed and submitted online. There is no charge to you as the end-user.

Please note: If you do not sign the agreement, there will be no interruption in your ability to access the HRA or receive payment for the HRAs submitted.

See how to complete some of the form fields below.

  • Company: Enter your agency name. If you are an independent agent, enter "Cigna Medicare."
  • Organization Type: Select Other. Enter "Field Marketing Organization" or the appropriate agency type/level. If you do not know the level of your agency, enter "Medicare Agent/Broker."
  • Address: Enter your own address or your agency's address if available.
  • Electronic Health Record Platform: Enter "Cigna Medicare HRA."

*The VBE program may be discontinued, and payment amounts may change at any time.
