Distribution of MyChoice/Healthy You Benefits Cards to Members
Molina is excited to share updates regarding distribution of the MyChoice/Healthy You flexible benefit cards, administered by Nations, to Molina and Central Health Plan members. Below are the key details needed to ensure you and your members are informed and prepared.
Card Distribution Timeline
- Molina members: The first batch of cards was shipped on November 27; subsequent batches were mailed on December 2 and December 4. All Molina members' cards are expected to be shipped by the end of this week.
- CHP members: Cards are being sent in two batches, shipping on December 4 and December 6.
Expected Delivery Date
- Members should receive their MyChoice/Healthy You cards no later than December 20.
- If members have not received their cards by this date, please contact Broker Services or your broker channel immediately so we can promptly address any issues.
Card Activation
- Members must activate their MyChoice/Healthy You cards upon receipt.
- To activate, they should follow the instructions provided, which are similar to activating a credit card. They can use the phone number printed on the back of the card.
- Activation ensures members can start using their benefits on January 1, 2025.
SSBCI Benefits & HRA Completion
- Molina members: For members with benefits connected to SSBCI, a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) must be completed to access their benefits. Please encourage members to:
- Contact Molina or their assigned case manager to complete the HRA promptly.
- Understand that without an HRA, SSBCI benefits will not be activated, even if they meet other eligibility criteria. This step is mandatory for Molina members and should be emphasized during member communication.
- CHP members: Members can access SSBCI benefits without completing an HRA. Eligibility is determined automatically through claims data or by contacting Member Services. CHP's process ensures seamless access to these benefits without additional steps.
Key Distinctions Between Molina and CHP
- Unlike CHP members, who automatically qualify for SSBCI benefits upon meeting eligibility criteria, Molina members must complete an HRA for benefit activation. This difference is due to how the benefits were designed and should be clearly communicated to your members.
- Ensuring Molina members understand this requirement will help avoid declined transactions and improve member satisfaction. Brokers are encouraged to actively support their members in completing HRAs where applicable.
