FamilyCare Medical Group Remains IN-NETWORK For 2022!

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield takes pride in their robust and accessible network of doctors and hospitals, and they know how important this aspect of coverage is to their members. If any of your members see a physician at FamilyCare Medical Group (FCMG), they may have heard previously that their doctor would no longer be considered “in-network” after December 31, 2021.

FCMG doctors will continue to be covered as “in-network” for the 2022 plan year.

What this means for members:

• If members are happy with their current Excellus BCBS Medicare plan, they don’t have to do anything. Their 2021 plan will automatically roll over into 2022. They will continue to enjoy the low copays they’re used to when they visit their existing doctor – some of which are even lower for 2022.
• If a member has already switched to a 2022 Medicare plan with a different carrier, they still have time to move back to a plan with coverage they can be confident in with Excellus BCBS. They can make additional changes to their 2022 plan elections until the December 7 Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) deadline.
