Cigna HealthcareSM has been negotiating in good faith with TriStar Health System, Inc. and HCA Florida Healthcare and worked hard to reach an agreement. However, all parties were unable to agree on a new contract that will keep healthcare affordable for Individual and Family Plans (IFP) customers. Members are dealing with inflation and rising costs of care, making access to affordable, quality care more important than ever.
As of October 1, 2023, HCA TriStar is no longer in-network for our Individual and Family Plans customers in Tennessee. Additionally, as of October 1, 2023, HCA Healthcare hospitals are no longer in-network for our Individual and Family Plans customers in Florida. HCA Florida Healthcare physicians and ancillary providers have a contract termination date of December 1, 2023.
Cigna recognizes that ending a provider contract can be disruptive to customers. That is why they provided customers with advance notice that these providers may no longer be in our network as of October 1, 2023.
