Cleveland Clinic’s Florida providers to remain in UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage network

UnitedHealthcare and Cleveland Clinic have reached agreement on a new multi-year contract for the health system’s hospitals, facilities and its physicians throughout Florida.

The agreement ensures people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans, including Preferred Care Partners and Preferred Care Network as well as the Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNP), have continued, uninterrupted network access to the health system.

What you need to know

  • UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage members have continued, uninterrupted network access to Cleveland Clinic’s providers throughout Florida with no change.
  • UnitedHealthcare is in the process of mailing letters to all Medicare Advantage and D-SNP members who previously received communication from them regarding the possibility Cleveland Clinic could leave the network. These letters will inform these members they’ll continue to have network access to their Cleveland Clinic providers throughout Florida without any changes.
  • UnitedHealthcare has also updated their website at www.uhc.com/clevelandclinic to notify members they have reached an agreement. The link to the website was previously included in letters that were sent to members regarding the negotiation with Cleveland Clinic’s Florida providers.

Your role

Ensure members are aware that Cleveland Clinic’s Florida providers will continue to remain in the Medicare Advantage network with no change. Encourage members who have questions about in-network health care providers to call the customer service number on their UnitedHealthcare UCard® or use the provider directory on myuhcmedicare.com

Agents can refer to the provider directory on Jarvis  > Provider Search to confirm a provider’s status and view a list of accepted plans.

Sarasota Memorial to remain in UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage network

UnitedHealthcare and Sarasota Memorial have reached an agreement in principle on a new contract that ensures continued, uninterrupted network access to the health system in 2025. UnitedHealthcare is currently working with Sarasota Memorial to finalize the terms of the agreement.

As a result, people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans as well as the Dual Special Needs Plan will continue to have network access to Sarasota Memorial’s hospitals, facilities as well as First Physicians Group (FPG) with no change.

What you need to know

  • UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage members will have continued, uninterrupted network access to Sarasota Memorial’s hospitals, facilities and physicians throughout Florida with no change in 2025.
  • Letters were not mailed to members regarding the negotiation. UnitedHealthcare was able to reach an agreement in advance of the required member notification date.
