We did it! We closed out the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) and wanted to take a moment to thank you for your hard work! Leading up to and throughout AEP, you prepared and worked tirelessly to help ensure consumers and members found the right plan. You helped connect members with access to health care. Please know all your efforts did not go unnoticed and you have our sincere appreciation.
With AEP behind us, it’s time to reflect, reset and gear up for the new year. Take advantage of our resources to highlight the differentiated experience we offer members. Check out the Member Experience page on Jarvis to learn about the new member experience (Jarvis > Knowledge Center > Member Experience). Review what members can expect for rewards, over-the-counter (OTC) benefits, UnitedHealthcare UCard® and more with Quick Reference Guides (Jarvis > Knowledge Center > Selling Resources). Or, join a national training conversation about Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MA OEP) (Jarvis > Knowledge Center > Training & Certification > Live training sessions calendar).
And speaking of what’s ahead... we hope you have a wonderful holiday season! Be sure to kick your feet up, relax and enjoy time with friends and loved ones.

UnitedHealthcare will be adjusting their enrollment period terminology in 2024 to align with the Medicare beneficiary-facing terminology used by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). They believe that aligning with CMS terminology will help eliminate consumer confusion when talking about the different enrollment periods and their options during each.
CMS refers to the enrollment period that lasts from Jan. 1 to March 31 as the “Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MA OEP).” UnitedHealthcare has historically referred to this time as the “Open Enrollment Period.” Effective Jan. 1, 2024, they will also refer to this period as “Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MA OEP).”
As they transition, you will begin to see the use of “Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MA OEP)” on materials, resources and more.
