UnitedHealthcare: JarvisWRAP for December 9

December 9, 2024
UnitedHealthcare

UnitedHealthcare is deeply saddened and shocked at the tragic passing of dear friend and colleague Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare. Brian was a highly respected colleague and friend to all who worked with him. Our hearts go out to Brian’s family and all who were close to him.

Brian worked at UnitedHealthcare for 20 years and was committed to the organization and serving Medicare beneficiaries. His profound legacy will be honored as UnitedHealthcare continues to advance their mission to help people live healthier lives and improve the health care system for everyone.

Thank you

UnitedHealthcare would like to take a moment to express their gratitude for all of your dedication, time and commitment to serving Medicare consumers during the Annual Enrollment Period. This was a unique year that involved extra effort to educate consumers on industry changes and navigate a dynamic landscape.

Post-AEP resources and reminders

The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) may be behind us, but these resources and reminders will continue to be helpful:

  • The UnitedHealthcare UCard® ships to new members once the enrollment application is approved, so members may have already received their 2025 UCard. Renewing members will receive their new 2025 UCard before their plan effective date. Remind members they will need to swap the 2024 UCard with the 2025 UCard by their plan effective date. Learn more on the UnitedHealthcare UCard 2025 Agent Quick Reference Guide in Jarvis.
  • C-SNP applications have 60 days from the plan’s effective date to be verified. Learn more about the verification process in the Chronic Condition Special Needs Plan 2025 Agent Quick Reference Guide in Jarvis.
    • Register for the “2025 Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNP)” National Webinar training on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. CT in Jarvis
  • Check for pended applications on the Jarvis homepage or Notification Center (the bell at the top of Jarvis). If a D-SNP application is pending, confirm eligibility and work through getting the application approved by providing an award letter, getting a new application submitted for a plan that the member is eligible for or calling PHD to withdraw the current D-SNP application. For more info about all pended app codes and how to resolve, view the new Pended Apps Code Job Aid.

A Special Election Period may be available

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may have declared a weather-related emergency or major disaster in your state. Medicare beneficiaries affected may be eligible for a Special Election Period (SEP).

For affected areas and SEP dates, please visit Jarvis. For marketing materials that comply with CMS marketing requirements, please visit the UHC Agent Toolkit and search keyword “Disaster.”
