UnitedHealthcare: JarvisWRAP for January 6

January 6, 2025
UnitedHealthcare

Tip of the week

Here are a few 1099 form reminders as we begin the new year:

  • Electronic 1099 forms will be available on or before Jan. 31.
  • Mailed 1099 forms are postmarked on or before Jan. 31.
  • 1099 FAQ is available on Jarvis > Statements and More.

Help members get the most out of their 2025 plan

Start the new year off right by reminding your clients how they can get the most out of their 2025 plan. As America’s most chosen Medicare Advantage brand with more than 45 years of experience, you and your clients can count on UnitedHealthcare for reliable Medicare coverage, which includes access to $0 annual wellness visits and $0 preventive care.

For many UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage members, filling a prescription is often one of their first experiences with their plan. Help your clients with a UnitedHealthcare Part D plan know what to expect, including if their plan has a deductible and how it works. The UnitedHealthcare member site also makes it easy for members to sign up for mail order pharmacy, track their prescription drug costs and more. Review the 2025 Part D program details and Medicare Prescription Payment Plan FAQs (see page 5) in the Part D Overview – 2025 Agent Quick Reference Guide (found in Jarvia) or find “What is the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan?” on uhc.com.

Important 2025 UnitedHealthcare UCard reminders

The UnitedHealthcare UCard® is a member ID card and so much more. As Medicare Advantage members begin to use their 2025 UnitedHealthcare UCard, keep in mind:

  • Members can visit the member site and log in to the UCard Hub to check any available benefit and rewards balances, find network stores, log any reward activity and more.
  • New for this year, in most cases, the primary care provider (PCP) will not be on the UCard for plans that do not require a referral. Members can visit their member site and mobile app to view their PCP.

For most Medicare Advantage members, the 2025 UCard includes a magnetic stripe, making it easier for members to use available credits when shopping in-store. Members can simply swipe their UCard at a participating store’s checkout, just like any other debit or credit card. They can find the 3-digit security code on the back for online shopping. Note: UnitedHealthcare is continuing to work with a few retailers to enable mag stripe technology. View the latest UCard retail information and resources to see which retailers are impacted. Members can learn more on UHC.com.

UCard has many more benefits and features. Read more to learn how members can take advantage of their UCard in Jarvis.

2025 commission key dates and updates

Get ready for 2025 by reviewing your commission details and knowing what to expect. Commission payments for eligible Medicare Advantage plan and Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) enrollments with 2025 effective dates were reflected on your Jan. 1, 2025, commission statement.

  • View your commission statement: Log in to Jarvis to see your updated commission details.
  • Direct deposit: Commission payments will be directly deposited into bank accounts by Jan. 7, 2025.
  • Not on direct deposit yet? It’s easy to set up. Sign into Jarvis, click your name in the upper right corner and enter your direct deposit information. Your next commission payment will be seamlessly deposited into your bank account.
  • True-up payments: These will be processed mid-January, ensuring you receive the correct amount once the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) confirms New-to-Medicare eligibility.
  • Agent of Record retention: Your status as the Agent of Record is applied immediately, ensuring your commissions will continue without interruption for any qualified plan changes if eligibility requirements are met.
  • Monthly renewals: For Medicare Advantage plans with effective dates from 2020 or later, UnitedHealthcare will continue to pay monthly renewals at the current CMS published Fair Market Value (FMV) renewal year commission amount.

Renew Active fitness location tool update

At this time, premium gyms and fitness locations are not displayed on the consumer website UHCRenewActive.com; however, they remain in the Renew Active network. Some Medicare Advantage plans, all Group Medicare plans and all AARP Medicare Supplement Plans with Renew Active® provide access to premium locations.

  • Members can log in to their member site or UnitedHealthcare mobile app for an accurate and clear understanding of their gym and fitness location access at any time. Members with the core network will only see core locations. And members with the premium network will continue to see core and premium locations.
  • Members may also call the customer service number on the back of their member ID card for support finding gyms and fitness locations.

Don’t forget to share your thoughts – Annual Agent Survey

UnitedHealthcare values your feedback on how they can best support you and their members. You may receive an email from TRC Market Research, an independent research firm, on Tuesday, Jan. 7, reminding you to complete the Annual Agent Survey. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see the survey invite in the next few days.

This survey is an important tool that UnitedHealthcare uses to gather your feedback and improve your experience. As always, you can also share feedback with your local UnitedHealthcare leaders.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to provide feedback.

Change to beneficiary use of the Disaster/Emergency SEP

Beginning April 1, 2025, individuals wishing to use the Disaster/Emergency Special Election Period (SEP) must call 1-800-MEDICARE to make an election. Medicare Advantage Organizations and Part D Sponsors will no longer accept elections directly from beneficiaries using the Disaster/Emergency SEP. Plans will receive Disaster/Emergency SEP elections only via download from the Health Plan Management System (HPMS) Online Enrollment Center Management module. This change will be effective for all enrollment requests with an application date on or after April 1, 2025.
