AEP tip of the week

Start a Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug Plan application right from your Book of Business. When viewing a Member Information page, click “Start New MA / PDP Application" to auto-populate the member’s profile information. This can be a time-saving feature for plan changes!

Producer Help Desk hours

Given the upcoming holiday and last week of AEP, the Producer Help Desk (PHD) has updated hours:

  • Thursday, Nov. 28: closed for Thanksgiving
  • Friday, Nov. 29, Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1: open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT
  • Monday, Dec. 2 to Saturday, Dec. 7: open 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. CT

Wait times are anticipated to be longer from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. CT. If you need PHD support, please consider calling in the early morning or late evening. You can also take advantage of the call back option, which allows you to receive a call back instead of waiting on hold. In addition, check out all our self-service tools on Jarvis.

As a reminder, allow up to seven business days for your applications to process, even if they are marked as pended during that time.

Book of Business self-service features to help in the AEP homestretch

With the end of AEP in sight, UnitedHealthcare wants to help you finish strong! Your Book of Business on Jarvis includes many features that allow you to self-serve and support your clients:

  • Order a new ID card or change a Primary Care Provider (Medicare Advantage plans) for the member. This feature allows you to take immediate action and help members accomplish simple tasks.
  • View member demographics and premium payment information. Get information right at your fingertips to ensure you have the full picture. This allows you access to key details so you can best meet members’ needs.
  • Escalate a Medicare Advantage client's issue that's been submitted to Member Services. Some issues surrounding claims or payments may be complicated. Go above and beyond for your member by escalating an already submitted issue that hasn't been resolved yet. This feature is a great way to help expedite solutions and show your member you care.
    • For AARP Medicare Supplement Plans, please use the Member Service Request Tool to request account updates and provide missing application information on behalf of your client.
