Tools to support your this AEP

Marketing for Medicare Advantage has begun and enrollments will start next week for 2025 plan year. We know how important it is to quickly find what you need as you meet with and enroll consumers. Here is a highlight of the tools you can count on for a smooth enrollment process:

  • A new D-SNP page on Jarvis that includes detailed information on D-SNP eligibility and state-specific D-SNP enrollment information. It features the new D-SNP Enrollment At-a-Glance guides for each state, which are designed to help you understand which consumers are eligible to enroll in a UnitedHealthcare D-SNP and alternative Special Enrollment Period (SEP) options for plans that do not qualify for the Integrated SEP.
  • Quickly verify eligibility using the Medicare & Medicaid Look Up tool. This tool allows you to confirm a client’s eligibility for Medicare or Medicaid, so you know which plans they are eligible for. Quickly access it on the Jarvis homepage. You can also start an application in JarvisEnroll right from the tool to save time.
  • Great news! The ability to look up clients has been restored in nearly all states, so you no longer have to call PHD to check Medicare and Medicaid eligibility! To verify eligibility in states that are not showing restored on the map below, please reach out to the Producer Help Desk (PHD) at 888-381-8581. They will fill out an intake form and it will be placed in a queue where it will be processed in less than one business day. The PHD is open Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. CT. After hours, please submit your request via Jarvis PHD Chat, which is available 24/7. Please note: If you will be meeting with a client and would like to verify eligibility ahead of time, please submit your request the day before and it will be processed within one business day.
  • Find your market’s plan information on the Medicare Product Portal. This is your resource for all UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan information! The Medicare Product Portal allows you to easily search plans by market to view and compare benefits and plan details or save them to your profile for quick reference later. You can also search for your local UnitedHealthcare team members who are available for support. Access the Medicare Product Portal on Jarvis > Quick Access > Medicare Product Portal.
  • Enroll consumers in UnitedHealthcare plans using JarvisEnroll. This new online enrollment tool offers an all-in-one experience within Jarvis designed to save you time. Bonus: Now you can submit an application within the Jarvis mobile app! Simply update your Jarvis mobile app to access this exciting new feature!
  • Keep up to date with the status of each application using the Application status feature on Jarvis. Wondering the status of your client’s application? Wonder no more! Click the Application tab in Jarvis to check the status. A few things to note: It may take up to seven business days to process an application after it has been submitted. You can submit missing information by clicking the appropriate form on the Application Status page. And with paper applications, be sure all signatures and dates are completed for both the client and agent.

Application status tracking for Medicare Advantage members

UnitedHealthcare knows Medicare eligibles are increasingly tech-savvy. That’s why UHC is meeting them where they are at – online, with a fully digital experience! Plus, 9 out of 10 digitally engaged members felt more confident about their enrollment and plan selection.*

New in 2025, members in all plans can register their account online, which allows them to track their application status and UCard shipment right after enrollment. Data shows clients with the ability to track app status and UCard shipment results in fewer complaints to Medicare!** Plus, having digital, self-service tools available to members means more time for you to focus on answering the more complex questions.

View the Member Site and Mobile App 2025 Agent Quick Reference Guide to learn how you can support members, set them up to track their application and UCard shipment and take advantage of all their online features.

Protecting your book of business

As a reminder, the UnitedHealthcare Agent of Record (AOR) retention policy is aimed at providing agents peace of mind so you can focus on new business.

How does AOR retention work?

If a current UnitedHealthcare member enrolls in another qualifying UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan through Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), via web or with a paper application without the assistance of a renewal-eligible agent any time throughout the year, and has no gap in coverage, the original AOR will be retained immediately.* The member’s new plan and effective date will be updated on your Book of Business report within 5 business days of the approved plan change application. Associated commissions will continue without interruption if eligibility requirements have been met. Agents must be an active selling agent and credentialed for the member’s new plan (e.g., appropriately licensed, appointed and product certified).

Plus, UnitedHealthcare is making it even easier to stay on top of your application status and Book of Business Medicare Advantage updates this AEP with two new Jarvis notifications. Now you’ll see a notification when your client initiated a plan change and you remained the agent of record.

What’s included?

Your AOR status will be retained when members make a plan change from a UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage (MA), Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MA-PD), Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) or Chronic Special Needs Plan (C-SNP) to another UnitedHealthcare MA, MA-PD, D-SNP or C-SNP.

Note: Stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans (PDP), Medicare Supplement Insurance and Medicare-Medicaid Plans (MMP) are not included in the AOR retention policy.

Simply continue to provide service to members as you always do. Assess their needs, answer their questions and facilitate enrollment, if appropriate. Learn more about AOR in the Agent of Record section of the Agent Guide.

* Your AOR status will be retained when members make a plan change from any UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage (MA), Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD), Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) or Chronic Special Needs Plan (CSNP) to another UnitedHealthcare MA, MAPD, DSNP or CSNP.

UHC Agent Toolkit: Updated benefit marketing materials

You'll notice quite a few enhancements in our benefit marketing materials. We invite you to leverage these materials as your clients put our benefits to work for them.

Dental, vision and hearing benefits for Medicare Advantage plans

We combined dental, vision and hearing benefits into one flyer which allows agents to talk about all three Medicare Advantage plan benefits in one flyer. Search using the names below.

  • MA C-SNP DVH Flyer
  • D-SNP DVH Flyer

OTC benefits

Find OTC benefit flyers, social media ads, floor banners and postcards quicker and easier by using the new search feature on the UHC Agent Toolkit home page. Access materials to promote OTC benefits in C-SNP, D-SNP and Medicare Advantage plans by clicking on the “Make the Most of OTC Materials” tile at the bottom of the page.

Medicare Supplement Navigating Mailer with Business Reply Card

Looking for something to send to prospects leading up to AEP? Use this mailer with Business Reply Card (BRC) to highlight how an AARP Medicare Supplement Plan may be the right fit for a prospect who is looking for coverage options. Search keyword navigating.

EZ Claim Pay is expanding!

Members enrolled in an eligible AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan from UnitedHealthcare® may now enroll in EZ Claim Pay in Massachusetts, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

EZ Claim Pay is a convenient service designed to simplify paying expenses, allowing members to choose to have UnitedHealthcare automatically pay their Medicare Part B deductible out-of-pocket expenses on their behalf via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from their checking or saving account, at no additional cost. New enrollees in an eligible plan with an effective date of January 1, 2025, and later will be mailed a letter from UnitedHealthcare inviting them to enroll in EZ Claim Pay. This service is now available in all states.

AARP endorses the AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company or an affiliate (collectively “UnitedHealthcare”). UnitedHealthcare Medicare National Network and Passport

In 2025, the UnitedHealthcare Medicare National Network will be offered on many, but not all, individual Medicare Advantage plans. With National Network, members have access to care at network costs when visiting any participating provider in the network.1 No activation or extra paperwork required.

UnitedHealthcare also offers the UnitedHealth Passport® travel benefit on select Medicare Advantage plans that do not have access to National Network. Although there are some similarities between the National Network and Passport, there are also some key differences.

1: Network size varies by local market and exclusions may apply; providers are not available in all areas.
